The Place Setting Company, LLC, was founded by Amanda Miller in Northern Colorado in January of 2011. Event planning, consulting services, organization management and corporate facilitation are all part of the package at The Place Setting Company.

 

Beyond event planning, we focus on the art of flawless and fearless event execution. The Place Setting Company is your resource for discovering the perfect people, places, and programming to make your event a success. From selecting relevant topics for workshops and presentations to finding the speakers, entertainment and venues that best fit your function; we are the phone call that takes your event experience from high- stress to effortless.

 

Additionally, The Place Setting Company specializes in association management for regional organizations and partnerships. Coordinating, scheduling, organizing, and documenting are services that help meet your association goals. We manage the details to make the work of your group efficient and effective. We have the unique ability to combine a customized package and our regional expertise to create a comprehensive service.

 

We offer consulting services for businesses and organizations that recognize that extraordinary events are an integral part of a successful strategy. From designing an event plan to creating memorable and marketable gatherings, group activities or galas that are also goal-oriented – even if the goal is simply to celebrate your success and strengthen your sense of community.

AMANDA MILLER: Director of Details

Amanda’s family has a long history in Northern Colorado, with a family business established in downtown Greeley in 1924. Noffsinger Manufacturing continues to be an industry leading manufacturer providing exceptional products (belted chain and hook chain) to the agriculture industry. After a childhood spent around the country and world with her father’s career in the US Air Force, Amanda attended Colorado State University earning a degree in Recreation and Tourism. She worked as the Membership and Events Director of the Fort Collins Downtown Business Association from 2002 through 2010. She was a participant in “50 for Colorado” in 2007, recognized as a member of the 2008 Northern Colorado “40 Under Forty” program, the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce Young Professional of the Year in 2012 and was nominated as a BizWest Woman of Distinction in 2019 and 2020. Amanda enjoys spending time at Coronado Beach, traveling internationally, cheering for her favorite teams, attending concerts and the theater, serving her community and celebrating all things in life! Amanda supports programs that empower, serve and educate including WomenGive (cochair 2018-2020), WISH– Women Investing in Strategies for Health, Junior League of Fort Collins, Heart J Center (Board of Directors), Camp Chief Ouray YMCA of the Rockies (Next Gen Philanthropy leadership team), CSU Women in Philanthropy, the Green and Gold Foundation, Emerging Leaders (Bohemian Foundation) and others.

 

NIKKI LUCAS, PMP: President of Projects & Events

Nikki was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. Degrees in Business Marketing and Psychology, and a certification as a Project Management Professional provide a perfect framework and balance for event planning and project management. Nikki’s professional background gives her experience to support a variety of organizations. She assisted in planning community festivals during her tenure with the Downtown Business Association. Nikki also planned tradeshow presence for onTargetJobs, managed VIP travel and business meetings with DuPont Crop Protection and assisted with coordination of non-profit fundraisers with Jolly Events. As President of Projects and Events for The Place Setting Company she will be an extension of the company’s mission and values. Nikki is inspired by music, joy, adventures and a great book or movie. Nikki volunteers as the Vice President of the Board for the Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County which provides training and education to youth and adults to reduce stigma around mental health and to help prevent suicide. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, crafting, attending sporting events, and traveling. Nikki met her husband, Ben, while attending Colorado State University. They have a 3-year-old son, Bodhi, and 6-year-old daughter, Nora.  She currently works remotely from Brookings, South Dakota.

 

JILL FOSTER: Partnership and Programs Manager 

Jill is a Colorado native and has lived in Fort Collins since 1996. She is a proud Colorado State University Alumni with a degree in Liberal Arts and a Minor in English.  Jill brings a strong professional background in marketing, business development, and client relations to her role as Partnership and Programs Manager.  Her experience as a Marketing Director for a non-profit built an extensive skill set in brand awareness, campaign execution, team management, and communication.  Jill’s passion is connecting with people and establishing lasting relationships with her clients.  She has proudly served on the Leadership Fort Collins Steering Committee for four years. Jill was a member of the 2016-2017 Leadership Fort Collins class.  She has volunteered with the Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund and served as an Ambassador for Realities For Children.  Jill and her husband, Luke, have two teenage boys, Cole and Cade. They spend their free moments watching their boys play sports or enjoy taking them on fishing and hunting trips. Their family recently returned from a trip to Cooperstown, New York where Cole and Cade were selected to play in a memorable Cooperstown baseball tournament.  You can find Jill having fun with friends, reading, and dancing.  

 

ROCHELLE REYNOLDS:  Event, Marketing and Digital Media Master

Rochelle has lived in Northern Colorado for 25 years after growing up in Northern California.  She began her marketing career right after high school graduation with local real estate company, The Group, Inc.  As a full-time college student and full-time employee, she worked by day and went to Colorado Christian University at night, and in 5 years, earned a degree in Management of Information Systems with minors in Business Management and Human Resources. She has spent the last 20 years as a noteworthy leader in the creative marketing and digital advertising space.  She has extensive experience in a wide range of fields including real estate, non-profit event marketing, automotive, and public education branding.  In addition to creative talents, she has built websites and developed integrations to make branding seamless and automated across all mediums.  She is certified through Facebook and Google platforms, and continues to educate herself to stay ahead of the ever-changing digital environment. She was an award recipient for 2009 Northern Colorado “40 Under Forty” program.  She has held many volunteer positions with Partner’s Mentoring Youth,  Habitat for Humanity, Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce and most recently helped launch Winter Wonderland for Colorado Youth Outdoors. 

She has participated in Leadership Fort Collins, Weld County, and Northern Colorado, and volunteered on both Fort Collins and Northern Colorado’s planning committees.  She lives in Fort Collins with her husband, two children, and their sweet yellow lab.  She loves recreating outdoors, attending outdoor concerts, loves the Denver Broncos and CSU Rams, and recently participated in two half-Ironman races on the west and east coasts.  She has recently taken to teaching herself new “handy” skills, and enjoys taking on new home improvement projects.

 

JASON WOLVINGTON:  Captain Consultant and Organizational Guru 

Jason has worked in non-profit and educational organizations throughout his career. He earned his Master’s Degree in Museum Studies (Natural History) from the University of Kansas, working as the Gallery Director at the KU Natural History Museum and Biodiversity Research Center. Jason moved to Fort Collins to help design, build, and open the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, where he worked 15 years as Assistant Director. With a passion for creating dynamic, relevant, and engaging experiences, Jason now consults with a variety of non-profit, educational, and arts organizations. He provides expertise in learning experiences, grant writing, community relations and organizational structure. Jason serves on several Boards, including the Heart-J Center at Sylvan Dale Ranch, the University of Kansas Northern Colorado Alumni Chapter, and Gryphon Games & Games Co-Op Boards of Directors. He participated in Leadership Fort Collins (2014), was recognized as a 40 Under Forty award recipient by Northern Colorado Business Report (2013) and participated in Boettcher Cultural Leadership Program (2009-2011). Jason is an avid comic book collector and loves to hike with his wife Stephanie. After volunteering for 15 years in the Elk Bugle Corp, Jason now works seasonally as a Park Ranger at Rocky Mountain National Park, his dream job. Rock chalk, Jayhawk!
